Broken Arrow Skyrace, "Where The Mountains Meet The Sky", is a three-day event held at world-famous Palisades at Lake Tahoe. This event consists of five iconic distances (52k, 26k, 11k, Vertical K, Kid's Race) that attract Elite and recreational runners from around the world. The 26k is part of the Golden Trail National Series for North America and the 50k is a UTMB Qualifier.
Broken Arrow Skyrace was designed in the vein of classic European Skyraces, and represents a unique style of mountain running that is characterized by off-trail scrambling on steep terrain with massive vertical gain and loss. And just for good measure, runners get hand lines and ladder sections while they take in the spectacular views of Lake Tahoe’s emerald-blue waters and Palisade Tahoe's high-alpine terrain.
Brendan Madigan, co-founder of Broken Arrow, is a central figure in the outdoor industry and he's been cultivating community through experiential events and connected retail throughout his career.
