The Good Chocolate was founded by Ben & Miki, two life long friends and partners. In 2014, they started experimenting with eliminating sugar from their diet. Here they embarked on a journey determined to cut out sugar; including honey, agave, and high-fructose corn syrup. In this process they started using organic, low-to-no calorie sweeteners like Erythritol and Stevia. Six months later, they had both lost 10 pounds and felt more energized each and every day. The resulting sustained focus while working and forgone mid-day crash was life changing. Along the way they learned a lot about the science of sugar and realized that most food companies use sugar to keep consumers hooked on their products regardless of the negative effects. Ben & Miki wanted to do better, so they started The Good Chocolate.
