32 million people suffer from food allergies and Ashley, the co-founder, is one of them. As a child, eating a raw carrot would make her lips swell, being in the same room as raw potatoes would make her throat tighten, and the list goes on and on. In 2004 she was diagnosed with Celiac disease and it forever changed how her family ate, shopped, and lived (for the better). Ashley found it difficult to find clean, healthy, high protein snacks where flavor was intact. And jerky, a family favorite, was no exception. So Ashley and her husband decided to make their own and start Prevail.
