In 1954, Ralph and Luella Gamber developed the EN-R-G Bar (“EN” for energy, “R” for Ralph and “G” for Gamber). They wanted to provide an alternative to the sugary candy bars available, so they went to work. Their plan was simple; combine wholesome ingredients, great taste, and of course honey. They first introduced two-ounce packets of honey called “quick energy”. In 2001, EN-R-G Foods, Inc., was re-established in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, as Honey Stinger, with the same goal in mind: provide great tasting, honey-focused energy food that is made with wholesome ingredients.
